Where the Wild Things Are.

I cannot tell you how much I loved, and still love, this book. When I heard there was going to be a movie made I was excited but uneasy due to the closeness of the book to my heart. I was worried they would "Disney up" the book by adding brighter colors, softer monsters, some sort of shallow humor thrown in.
When I saw this I felt better. In fact, I cried. Now, I am a sucker who tends to cry a lot often due to lack of sleep and a strong sense of nostalgia. One time I even cried at a soap commercial at 4am because it reminded me of the bond between a parent and child. This trailer hit the nostalgia string hard.
However, its not just the nostalgia that is moving me to tears when I see this trailer. It's the creative beauty of every single thing in it. It is like Maurice Sendak's art is living. Watch for yourself.
