C'mon Cubbies!

Alright, its looking bad. But I am getting sick of this pessimistic attitude that is dominating sports media about Chicago reinforcing this damned "curse" talk.
Well here is me venting some positive rage:

Cubs have gone on 3 or more game winning streaks 15 times this year and another one can start tomorrow.
One of these winning streaks included a 3 game sweep of the Dodgers in May.
Remember 2001? Yankees made it to the Series after dropping the first 2. (They were only beaten in the series due to the amazing performance of one Mark Grace, my all time favorite player. Lead off hit, bottom of the ninth, led the rally. . . Amazing Series. And yeah, I am well aware Torre was at the helm.)
Harden is pitching tomorrow. He is 5-1 with a 1.77 ERA since switching leagues. Inning-for-inning, he's been as dominant as CC Sabathia, but hasn't gotten the same publicity.
Kuroda is 9-10 with a 3.73 ERA and this is his first playoff appearance.

It ain't over 'till its over.

Well said! That's very uncubfan-like of you...now all you gotta do is convince the rest of those "fans" to think like that and they might have something going on. Oh yeah, and tell Lou to walk Manny. The guy is a monster, especially in the post-season. I know 'cause he's killed us for years.

I want to tell Lou to put some sedatives in Manny's breakfast. Can't he go back to Boston? I mean, he hated it there so he was playing terrible, so he was bringing down the team. So he goes back, we don't deal with him, and he pouts his way to giving the Angels a shot at the AL championship. Win/win.

And I must say, Cubs fans are some of the greatest fans in the world. Loyal to a fault would be the perfect way of describing them.
I really think that after 2003 (Ugh) they are guarding themselves against being hurt again. It is like we are teenage girls who just came off a bad breakup and we want to make sure we find the perfect guy this time because the last one didn't really seem that great but he kept doing things that got our hopes up and Steve Bartman continues the curse and Alou doesn't make the catch, that would have meant that Castillo wouldn't have drawn the walk, the ball 4 wild pitch wouldn't have happened, Pierre wouldn't have... Argh!
I was on the internet in a house with 4 computers, all connected to ticketmaster! We were going to the Series! I was going to go to a series in Chicago at the greatest ballpark in the country rooting for the team I have been following since I used to sit on the brick floor in my grandparents breezeway watching WGN while Dziadzia sat in an old rocker and Harry called "Dunston-Sandberg-Grace! Double play!" Then nothing! The 3-0 shutout turns into a debacle! Prior loses it, Farnsworth was just terrible, our bats laid on our shoulders! Its not that guys fault though, poor kid, but man did we screw up a sure thing.

Man oh man. That really sucks. I think the Cubs and the Angels have been drinkin' the same water. Great seasons and then folding. Really heartbreaking.

Don't give up! Water is water. It may seem bad but this is one thing us Cubs fans never do. We never EVER give up!

Angels are going all the way!
